Reflection on the Construction,placement,photos

As far as the actual word construction, my group members and I felt that we should used the con- densed Futura font because we felt that the font added to the meaning on the word with the letters being compressed together. We agreed to used the color black because we wanted to use the negative connotation. I thought that we should place the let- ters in a shaded area to represent that the word is withdrawing into the shade away from the public view. We wanted the letters on the steps receding from the sunlight to the tunnel next to the Art and Design building. The photos we took from an angle looking down shows how the letters goes down the steps into the dark tunnel, making the letters look like they are retreating into the darkness.
