What is Ethnography?

From this article I learned a lot about Ethnography and how it applies to Wayfinding. This article mentions what things an ethnographer should look for which are the cultural norms, process on how people get things done, how people make sense of the world around them, and people organize things, what roles to people assume and what do they carry with. I learned that these are some of things that can help solve problems like for instance navigation for Wayfinding. However wahat really caught my attention was the ethnographic process. It really helped my group members and I think about how we should solve our problem form this Wayfinding project. First, we identify the problem, which was navigating through Budig. Then we all reestablish the problem and brainstormed different ideas on how to fix. When we observed Budig to gather data and observe the KU students in there surroundings. After doing this we found way easier to try fix our problem because we gather a great amount of data to help us get a great start in our Wayfinding project. In conclusion, I found this article very beneficial in helping us fixing our navigation on KU campus.
